Why does this feel like goodbye?
Why do you feel like sand
slipping between my finger?
The grains blowing away before
they hit the floor.
This use by date stuck to my back
reminding me of the fragility of this moment.
After all that is said and done
you said you would never leave
yet here we are
The door is swinging wide
I have no where left to hide
My eyes empty pools where
your reflection once was
And I feel myself crumbling
like bits of plaster
after a flood
the flood that was you
you encompassed me
I wash away
I wash away
I wash away
Why does this feel like goodbye?
Why do you feel like sand
slipping between my finger?
The grains blowing away before
fhey hit the floor.
Why does this feel like goodbye?
Why do you feel like sand
slipping between my finger?
The grains blowing away before
fhey hit the floor.
